Deatra (Dede)'s Story
Life is good and I have no complaints. I have my health and all that I need: great family and friends, a home I've lived in for 45 yrs!, my dogs and an adventurous spirit.
I've been widowed and divorced and transitioned well after each, although not without a few bruises. I've traveled extensively and my curiousity and spirit is alive and well and my bags are packed quickly for the next adventure. Went to Vietnam/Cambodia in April this yr. and just returned from Greece Oct. 24. Currently exploring Rwanda/Uganda to see the gorillas (Africa '08 is my favorite trip of all time, nothing quite like it). Still have so many places I want to see and experience and love to hear suggestions, so bring 'em on!

ed in 2000, and went directly into the master's program and graduated from CSULA with my MSW in 2002! Whoopeee! Professionally, I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) whose specialty is geriatrics and I worked assisting seniors who were frail, poor and at risk of being put in nursing homes. It was most gratifying and enlightening. I was given a golden handshake in 2011 and have been remodeling my home and am now ready for the next chapter in my life.
I am single, happy, energetic, a positive thinker and always glad to meet new people. I have 2 sons who are successfully out on their own and they both have gifted me with 2 beautiful granddaughters and I adore spending time with them. My passion is living life to the fullest, giving back, making a difference, and being grateful for all I have!
